Yeezy 700 V3 Safflower
Adidas and Kanye West continue their partnership with the release of the YEEZY 700 V3 “Safflower”. Originally dubbed “Srphym,” the sneaker underwent a name change after the pairs of YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 received negative feedback from the Muslim community, subsequently resulting in a number of name changes for future YEEZY sneakers such as many religions referenced.
So now YEEZY is abandoning the 700 V3 “Safflower”. It sports its usual monofilament technical mesh upper in a subtle shade of yellow interspersed with light gray stripes, while a white TPU cage is placed on top to give structure to the shoe. In addition, a semi-translucent gray mesh midsection has been added to the sides, which gives the otherwise chunky sneaker a breathable feel.
Inside the upper you’ll find a black neoprene bootie that doubles as a tongue, on which you’ll find a collection of perfectly spaced rope laces that lead the eye to two 3M patches on the toe. The BOOST-free sneaker is complemented by its curved, chunky sole unit that encapsulates PU in an EVA foam shell, working together to provide a lightweight and supportive foot experience.
