Air Jordan 11 Retro Concord 2018
Jordan Brand has reissued the legendary Air Jordan 11 Concord for the winter 2018 season.
The silhouette features a white mesh covering paired with black patent leather, all resting on a white midsole paired with a translucent icy outsole. This retro will have the number “45” embroidered on the heels, instead of the traditional “23” number that Michael Jordan wore when he returned to the courts in 1995, after his early retirement.
With his few words “I’m Back”, his Airness had shaken the entire basketball planet. In addition to his marked comeback, he wore UFO sneakers for the time. A white upper when the rest of the team wore black? Check. A fine for breaking league rules? Check. Patent leather on a basketball shoe? Check.
Considered a grail for many people, this color was initially released in 1995 and then had a reissue in 2000, 2006 (Defining Moments Pack) and 2011.
For this reissue, the brand wanted to be as faithful as possible to the original, using the same patent leather cutout, Nike Air details on the insole, the OG box and of course the # 45 on the heel.
