The colour catalogue of the 550 does not stop. This time, New Balance offers colors inspired by the American football team of Miami, the Dolphins.
Released in 1989 by designer Steven Smith (creator of the YEEZY 700 among others), the 550 from New Balance is inspired by basketball pairs from the late 80s.
Unfortunately, it did not have the success hoped for. It will take until 2020 to resurface and conquer the hearts of sneaker fans. For a few years now, it has become one of the benchmark lifestyle pairs in the industry.
New Balance returns this time with colors paying tribute to the Miami American football team, the Dolphins. The pair mixes colors sea salt, verdigris blue-green and poppy. It features its typical mesh and leather base, with suede panels all around the shoe.
