Created in 1997, the Wave Rider from Mizuno has become a must-have for the brand’s enthusiasts. The new version of the Wave Rider (Wave Rider β) created by iconic designer Arnaud Lalanne, pays homage to one of the most iconic pairs in the running world by drawing inspiration from the country of its heritage: Japan.
The entire new collection is inspired by and refers to the brand’s Japanese heritage. Functioning as an icon of the past empowering the unique souls of today. Mizuno focuses on the legend of the samurai. A beautiful reference to its Japanese tradition.
This new collection wants to bring a new generation and a new audience to live their lives according to their own values, to always go forward to honour themselves and what they believe in through their inner strength.
This first 2-pair pack, with 2 different colours (Pine Green and Navy Blue), embodies integrity and aims to enable its wearers to know who they are and to stay true to themselves. Mizuno wants to show that by wearing the pair, the buyer will feel stronger and gain confidence to create, be a unique soul, and run their own marathon knowing that there is no challenge they cannot meet.
Adapting an all-new silhouette from the Sportstyle part of Mizuno, the Wave rider β builds on the inner and outer sole of the latest Wave Rider 26. It combines all of the brand’s running technologies for unparalleled comfort and performance. It is also topped with a new upper that recalls the various models in the same range since its first introduction to the market in 1997.
The pointed toe is reminiscent of the Wave Rider 8,9,10 and 11. The pair’s details are finished in a combination of premium suede and mesh throughout.
